Tomas Berdych is training again after injury... missed girlfriend Lucie Safarova 's triumph in QF Madrid 2010

Berdych should be able to play despite his last week's withdrawal from the tournament in Madrid due to thigh muscle injury.

"We have started training again, and it looked pretty good. Maybe it was not so serious," said Berdych's coach Tomas Krupa.

this is why he missed the victory of girlfriend Lucie Safarova in the quarter-finals of Madrid.

 Lucie Safarova reached the semifinals of the Madrid Masters on Friday with a 6-1, 1-6, 6-4 victory over 16th-seeded Nadia Petrova.


 Lucie Safarova is getting the reputation of “giant killer” having beaten numerous top ten players in the past few weeks.


Safarova's ranking climbed into the top 30 this week for the first time since January 2008 after the Czech player had a solid clay-court season. She reached the quarterfinals in Stuttgart and Rome. Petrova beat Serena Williams in the previous round.



Unseeded Czech Lucie Safarova beat 16th-seed Nadia Petrova 6-1 1-6 6-4 to progress to the last four where she will face Aravane Rezai who beat Jelena Jankovic.
