Tomas beat Pere Riba... will make Münich quarter-final!
Tomas, the defending champion, played his 2nd round match on anonymous Court 4 which means, no live streaming, no tv coverage. Not fair for Berdych. Not cool for his fans, in a word awful... like the current weather in Münich: wet, cold, cloudy, rainy. Players are playing with long sleeves (Kohlschreiber) two shirts (Köllerer, Berdych)... I'm really happy that Tomas is through. He suffered an early break in the first game of the first set, then Riba a promising clay specialist had plenty of bp opportunities (he won challenger Barletta in March 2010), adding that for some reason Tomas 1st serve % was under 50... Well, now that he will make the quarter-finals of Münich (against German Philipp Petzschner) there is a chance I can watch him on tv. Last year he played all his matches on CC... There is a free German channel ANIXE SD with all the matches played on CC.

Berdych, Youzhny Reach QFs
Last year’s finalists, Tomas Berdych and Mikhail Youzhny, each earned a place in their first clay-court quarter-final of the season after posting straight-sets wins Wednesday.
Third seed and reigning champion Berdych defeated Spanish qualifier Pere Riba 7-5, 6-1 while No. 2 seed and two-time runner-up Youzhny bounced German Andreas Beck 6-3, 6-3.
Berdych next meets German Philipp Petzschner, a 6-1, 6-4 winner over Austrian Daniel Koellerer, while Youzhny will confront Jan Hajek after the Czech dismissed eighth-seeded German Benjamin Becker 6-4, 6-0.
