This week the China Open in Beijing. It’s an ATP 500 tournament. Tomas, the 2011 champion, will play his first round match against Spaniard Pablo Andujar ranked 54th in the world. They have never played against each other before.

Gasquet and Wawrinka were later joined in the second round by fellow London hopeful, Tomas Berdych. The fourth seed cruised past Pablo Andujar 6-4, 6-1 in 76 minutes. The Czech converted his four break point chances to earn his 48th win of the season.
Berdych is coming off a runner-up showing in Bangkok (l. to Raonic) and is looking to win his first ATP World Tour title of the season this week.
He next will face Nikolay Davydenko, who defeated qualifier Yen-Hsun Lu 7-6(3), 6-4 in one hour and 34 minutes.
updated: Berdych goes straight through to the quarter-finals after his next opponent, Nikolay Davydenko, withdrew from the tournament with a right wrist injury.
