Building the perfect tennis player: The MAN
16 august 2011
Tennis Channel broadcasters and former tennis standouts Katrina Adams, Barry MacKay and Leif Shiras came up with the best attributes of the top ATP World Tour athletes.
Roger Federer. "He does so many good things on his serve - produces aces, serves with variety and placement, changes the pace and has a great second serve," Shiras said. "Even though there are other players out there with great serves, like John Isner and Andy Roddick and Milos Raonic, you feel like Federer has a little more depth and ability to use it in a variety of instances."
Runner-up: Tomas Berdych. MacKay said the Czech player has immense power and can "overpower you with speed," especially down the middle of the court. His ability to vary his approach yields a lot of aces.
