End To Title Drought? - World No. 7 and 2010 Wimbledon runner-up Tomas Berdych is bidding to win his first ATP World Tour title in more than two years, since triumphing on clay in Munich in May 2009.
Tomas received a Bye in the first round. He is due to play left-handed Adrian Mannarino in the second round on Wednesday. The Frenchman beat Somdev Devvarman 6-3, 7-6(7) on Sunday. Berdych is seeded second behind Spaniard David Ferrer.

Seed Nr. 2 Tomas Berdych reach quarter-finals at Open de Nice
Tomas Berdych joined Top seed David Ferrer in the last eight by posting a 6-1, 6-4 triumph over Frenchman Adrian Mannarino. Berdych came through the opening round against Adrian Mannarino in straight sets. The 25-year-old Czech passed through the match unbroken, as he recorded his 25th win of the season. He will attempt to make his first clay-court semifinal of the season. Tomas Berdych, the world No.6 and the second seeded player of the tournament will be facing Ernests Gulbis in the quarterfinals of the Open De Nice 2011 on Thursday.
