2010 Season is over... Tomas Berdych is in Tenerife, Canary Islands

Right after London ATP World Tour Finals Tomas flew to Tenerife with his coach Tomas Krupa and fitness trainer David Vydra. Tomas ask them to already prepare the upcoming season 2011. When he is in Tenerife Tomas frequents the clinic of Michal Novotny for fitness, regenerating... Well, It will be a mix of holidays and tennis camp.





What are your goals for the upcoming season?

Tomas Berdych: "Well, I have not even thought about it. The season just ended for me. Most of us are now looking forward to get some rest. I'm out of tennis mode, I withdraw of the carousel, which surrounds the tournaments and competition and do not have to travel anywhere. I need to mainly clear my head, to relax mentally. Looking ahead to 2011, I have one goal, I want to qualify again for London next year.

Michal Novotny


Michal Novotny graduated as a physical therapist from the Spain University in Oviedo. He specialised in manual therapy, and has work experience with soccer teams, the ATP tour, and the Czech Davis Cup Team. He contributed to the creation of the Novoreq examination method. Since 2010 he is full--time fitness trainer hired by Latvia's tennis player  Ernests Gulbis.  









Michal Novotny and Juan Reque - based in their long experience with elite tennis players - have produced their own athlete's screening system and data interpretation, from there they have established routines, exercises and treatment programs to ensure the athlete's longest possible period, - painless and injury free - practice time.
