Czech duo Radek Stepanek and Tomas Berdych charged into the doubles final of the Legg Mason Tennis Classic after a come-from-behind win over fourth seeds Julian Knowle and Andy Ram in Washington, D.C. Saturday.
The Czechs, who took out top seeds and World No. 1 team Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic in the first round, fought their way to a 5-7, 6-2, 10-4 win to reach the final, where they will play the winner of Mardy Fish and Mark Knowles and Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi.
Stepanek and Berdych saved seven of eight break points they faced – including three of three in the second set – and then just dropped one point on serve in the match tie-break.
