2016 US OPEN - THE MEN'S SEEDS - Due to illness Tomas Berdych will miss his first US Open. Berdych had played at Flushing Meadows every year dating back to 2003. His string of 52 straight Grand Slam appearances comes to an end.

The 2016 US Open lost its first big name on the men’s side when Tomas Berdych withdrew due to appendicitis. The Czech star said he was diagnosed in Cincinnati.
