Berdych anticipates tough Finals battle

Tomas Berdych knows he faces a tough battle if he is to progress out of his group at the ATP World Tour Finals.
The number six seed has been drawn in the Stan Smith group for the end of season event in London and will take on 17-time major winner Roger Federer in his first match on Sunday evening.
The Czech ace will also face world number one Novak Djokovic and Japanese star Kei Nishikori during the group stage, but he believes it doesn't matter who he faces in the tournament, as all the players competing are among the best in the world.
He said: "It doesn't really matter if you're in one group or the other ? they're both extremely tough. It's the best eight players in the world. I'm just glad to be part of it."
Berdych comes into the tournament in good form after claiming two Tour titles during October, in Shenzhen and Stockholm, and he believes his relationship with coach Dani Vallverdu is one of the main reasons why he has hit such a rich vein of form.
He added: "The preparation before the matches, the tactics, the strategy is completely different than I was used to. We've made improvements all year."
The 30-year-old's run of success will be severely tested against Federer as he has lost 14 of his 20 meetings against the Swiss ace, with his last victory coming in Dubai over two years ago.
