Czech team is on a hot streak
Czech Republic still on road to success at the ARAG WORLD TEAM CUP 2010. After the Czech's first 2-1 victory against Spain, Jan Hajek was able to capture the 1-0 lead in today’s duel against Australia. The 26-year-old player did not give his opponent, Peter Luczak, the slightest chance and beat him 6-1, 6-2 within 67 minutes.
Hajek had previously easily beat Daniel Gimeno-Traver (Spain) and also confidently defeated Luczak on Rochusclub's Centre Court II. Furthermore, the Czech's No. 2 player benefited from his opponents many faults. Luczak took a lot of risks during the entire match, however was not rewarded accordingly. By an early break in both sets, Hajek, who won his last tournament in Freudenstadt (Schwarzwald) last summer, set the course for his victory.
Therefore, tomorrow Tomas Berdych might win the second point in tomorrow's top singles match against the 'Aussies' and thus bring the Czech team closer to the finals. However, the former world No. 1 will be a huge challenge.
Joy For The Czechs!
