Tomas Berdych Aims For 2nd Masters Victory

by Aaron Kumar Senior Writer | March 09, 2010

Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic comes into this year’s Masters 1000 event in Indian Wells full of confidence, after he helped his country secure a comfortable victory against Belgium in the 1st round of the Davis Cup last weekend.

Berdych has won one Masters Series title in his career, that was in Paris back in 2005, when he defeated the Croat Ivan Llubijic in the final in a tight contest.

Last year Tomas Berdych was 2 sets to love up against Roger Federer in the 4th round of the Australian Open however Federer bounced back to win the match in 5 sets. Federer went on to reach the Final of the Australian Open but he was beaten in 5 sets by Rafael Nadal.

For a man that possess so much talent Berdych will be disappointed to have only won one Masters 1000 title and he will be desperate to add to his tally this week in Indian Wells.
