Tomas played his first match Monday at the Valencia Open 500 against Paul Henri Mathieu. He won by 6-3 6-4. In the second round he will face another Frenchman Gilles Simon who defeated Igor Kunitsyn 6-3, 6-2 Tuesday. They have played against each other 5 times before. H2H Berdych/Simon 2-3.

Simon is leading 6-4 4-6 5*-3 and serving for the match when Berdych obtains his 13th bp on 1st Simon’s mp, if luck had been on Tomas side it could have been 5-4*, then 5-5 and who knows… but no, it was deuce, then Adv Simon who finally won on his 2nd mp... Today I hate tennis *headache-mad*
